Honesty

At our old house, my sister and I had a chalk wall in our room. One day, I was curious to see what would happen if I drew on the carpet with chalk, so I did, and it wouldn’t come off. I knew I had to tell my parents, but I was too scared to tell them what I had done. I didn’t want to disappoint them. After thinking a little bit of what I could do, I finally found the courage to tell them. They explained the saying “Curiosity killed the cat” to me. Fortunately, my parents washed the chalk out with hydrogen peroxide. That day, I learned to face my fears and do what is always right. I was scared to tell the truth when I did something wrong, but when I did, I learned many valuable lessons about honesty and forgiveness.
