Colorado State Tree and Flower
Every state has its own tree and flower, which are called the state tree or flower. Some states have more state trees and/or flowers than other ones. I live in the state of Colorado. Colorado only has one state tree and flower. The Colorado state tree is called the blue spruce.
The blue spruce (Picea Pungens), also known as the green spruce, the Colorado spruce, or the Colorado blue spruce is an evergreen tree, and it got its name because it has a blue-green color. This tree can be found in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, but is the Colorado state tree. The Colorado state flower is called the rock mountain columbine. The flower can be found in Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, but, just like the blue spruce, the rocky mountain columbine is the Colorado state flower. This beautiful flower can be many different flowers, light and dark blue, purple, indigo, pink, and white. You can find a picture of a columbine on some license plates in Colorado.
